Themistoklis Charalambakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Rivas in the 31st minute of the match. Themistoklis Charalambakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Rivas in the 33rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Pierre Rivas sped through Go Ahead Eagles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Themistoklis Charalambakis. Pierre Rivas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. If Elvis Waller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miltos Theriaklis during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Go Ahead Eagles getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Miltos Theriaklis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Pierre Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Themistoklis Charalambakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
