A collision led to Papilio getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Uno Bjurström hit a great ball. Ivan Västlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helder Postigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Palmiro Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes Papilio got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Fernström. Pepe Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Alfredo Manso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Fernström in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pepe Ferreira got free with Ivan Västlund in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaf Fernström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alfredo Manso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Alfredo Manso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Lundin in the 29th minute of play. Ivan Västlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helder Postigo in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Nils-Åke Wiberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes, Sabadim Harammes PRD's Dércio Quinaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Västlund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sabadim Harammes PRD reached it. Rogério Bentes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Ivan Västlund made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Papilio's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Cordeiro. Papilio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Palmiro Cordeiro scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Västlund, making the score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Palmiro Cordeiro in the 50th minute of play forced Papilio's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Västlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Palmiro Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helder Postigo in the 52nd minute of play forced Papilio's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helder Postigo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Västlund. Ivan Västlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepe Ferreira in the 66th minute of play forced Papilio's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Mário Fontoura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ivan Västlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palmiro Cordeiro took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Västlund. Ivan Västlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Fontoura in the 79th minute of play forced Papilio's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Sabadim Harammes PRD were awarded a corner. Dércio Quinaz went to the cornerflag to take it. Sidónio Sá was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ivan Västlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Palma in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Papilio's Nils-Åke Wiberg got a free kick in the 90th minute. Sabadim Harammes PRD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
