The supporters of OLIMPIA SP booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Balada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Bengtsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Barbosa made a huge save. Nils Bengtsson scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. André Balada might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdomiro Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Balada ran back to his position shaking his head. André Balada struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Valdomiro Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mundial EC. Valdomiro Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Mundial EC's Nils Bengtsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Valdomiro Barbosa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Valdomiro Barbosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amílton Munhoz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. When Mundial EC's Amílton Munhoz in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye OLIMPIA SP's goalie prevented a goal. After 32 played minutes Mundial EC got a freekick which was hit by Şehzade Tecer. André Balada scored 3-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Amílton Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in OLIMPIA SP's zone, André Balada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Barbosa came out of the goal and André Balada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to OLIMPIA SP getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lúcio Reis hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, André Balada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundial EC's supporters rose to their feet, but André Balada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdomiro Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Balada in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when André Balada made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Munhoz in the 54th minute of play forced OLIMPIA SP's goalkeeper Valdomiro Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in OLIMPIA SP's zone, Şehzade Tecer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Barbosa came out of the goal and Şehzade Tecer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute André Balada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Amílton Munhoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mundial EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 69 minutes of play, Mundial EC's Amílton Munhoz made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdomiro Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mundial EC made a substitution. Belmiro Pontes replaced Léo Chaves. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Balada in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Senna in the 78th minute of play forced OLIMPIA SP's goalkeeper Valdomiro Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. OLIMPIA SP's Valdomiro Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Varela in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Nils Bengtsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdomiro Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson de Moraes hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, OLIMPIA SP's Celsinho Batista got a free kick in the 90th minute. OLIMPIA SP's Valdomiro Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bengtsson in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Senna in the 98th minute of play forced OLIMPIA SP's goalkeeper Valdomiro Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Tomás Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mundial EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Mundial EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
