Charles de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Ubatuba's Romeu Gaspar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artemio Tohias. That made the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. Romeu Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Artemio Tohias made a huge save. 29 minutes into the game, Romeu Gaspar lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Artemio Tohias. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Paulo Pereira during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Clube Atlético Luziense booed when Ubatuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Arruda to make the kick off. The Ubatuba fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Ubatuba's Luiz Paulo Pereira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute, Ian Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clube Atlético Luziense's Durval Meireles was substituted for Diogo Arruda. After 88 played minutes Ubatuba got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Pereira. With a little luck, Ubatuba's Charles de Brito got control of the ball when Durval Meireles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artemio Tohias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Clube Atlético Luziense's Artemio Tohias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro de Amaral in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Natã do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ubatuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Natã do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Tohias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Ubatuba's Magno das Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artemio Tohias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1.
