The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Cash Is King's goal looked a bit too open when Kurtuluş Gelenbe came free, but Tiger Saron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Kurtuluş Gelenbe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cash Is King the free kick. Kurtuluş Gelenbe hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, Darıca Gençlerbirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilal İhsan to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Georg Björling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ergin Ceviz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kurtuluş Gelenbe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiger Saron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Ola Fågel got free with Ergin Ceviz in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Kurtuluş Gelenbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurtuluş Gelenbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiger Saron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cash Is King's Tiger Saron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurtuluş Gelenbe in the 23rd minute of play. Ergin Ceviz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tord Söderström in the 24th minute. With a little luck, Darıca Gençlerbirliği's Ergin Ceviz got control of the ball when Jens-Ola Fågel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kurtuluş Gelenbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurtuluş Gelenbe kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Cash Is King's goal looked a bit too open when Kurtuluş Gelenbe came free, but Tiger Saron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiger Saron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurtuluş Gelenbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Göran Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tord Söderström to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Nadir Karabey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 51 played minutes Darıca Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Karabey. Ergin Ceviz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Björling in the 52nd minute of play. Kurtuluş Gelenbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tiger Saron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Söderström in the 58th minute of play forced Darıca Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Ergin Ceviz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Tord Söderström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergin Ceviz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurtuluş Gelenbe got free with Tiger Saron in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 85 minutes, Big Boy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cash Is King's supporters crossed their fingers, but Big Boy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's Ergin Ceviz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Söderström in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cash Is King defense, Taner Tümen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiger Saron. The Cash Is King fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiger Saron should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Nadir Karabey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Tord Söderström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ergin Ceviz. Darıca Gençlerbirliği's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tord Söderström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cash Is King had won after a very even match.
