GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melchor Birila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Vali Cornoiu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon. Uriel Raymon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon got control of the ball when Vali Cornoiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uriel Raymon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vali Cornoiu went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 21st minute, GuateFortín's William Villanueva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. When Pablo Mora fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GuateFortín's protests and gave Pablo Mora a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pablo Mora hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Uriel Raymon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Mero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Raymon came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Vali Cornoiu. But to his dismay, Vali Cornoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Cornoiu got free with Uriel Raymon in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vali Cornoiu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Uriel Raymon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 45 minutes into the game, GuateFortín's Abel Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uriel Raymon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Caitano made a kick off. Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cornoiu in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vali Cornoiu in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Raymon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Vali Cornoiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uriel Raymon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Nestor Rami hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito was substituted for Vali Cornoiu. William Villanueva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Raymon having to interfere. Uriel Raymon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Ángel Benito's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, William Villanueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uriel Raymon. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GuateFortín fully deserved thier win.
