Kalvi Hani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witold Wejta, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 34th match minute, FC Viplala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andri Valu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ainar Remmel in the 37th minute of play forced Faker FC's goalkeeper Edward Hajto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Faker FC booed when FC Viplala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Kann didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Viplala's Kalvi Hani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Wejta in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Rebas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Faker FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olaf Marchefka in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Kann in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Hajto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Faker FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Marian Lato hit a great ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Ainar Remmel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Viplala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ainar Remmel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Faker FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Kann came free, but Edward Hajto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
