Juan Maore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Tanio in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Maore saved Eternal FLame from getting behind. Everardo Ezkerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Maore came out and tried to block the shot, but Everardo Ezkerra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Juan Maore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Konurbano Atletico's goal looked a bit too open when Gruffen Gibson came free, but Teodoro Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Eternal FLame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ector Flanders to maneuver through the defense. When Konurbano Atletico's Everardo Ezkerra in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 46th minute Gruffen Gibson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gruffen Gibson to strike the kick off in the second half. 2-0 became the score in the 52nd minute when Ovidio Umea elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Konurbano Atletico's Zeledon Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tremayne Chandler's late challenge caught a Konurbano Atletico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tremayne Chandler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Konurbano Atletico booed when Eternal FLame was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tremayne Chandler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Ovidio Umea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Maore skillfully saved the ball. Konurbano Atletico's Zeledon Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Umea in the 64th minute of play forced Eternal FLame's goalkeeper Juan Maore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Eternal FLame was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tremayne Chandler to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Tanio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Juan Maore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadell Blencow charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cadell Blencow the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Umea in the 72nd minute of play forced Eternal FLame's goalkeeper Juan Maore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nerth Gordon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Teodoro Reyes made a huge save. Eternal FLame's Juan Maore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Ezkerra in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Eternal FLame's Siarl Biggar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Siarl Biggar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eternal FLame protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Siarl Biggar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute Konurbano Atletico were awarded a corner. Ovidio Umea went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 91st minute, Ovidio Umea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Maore was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Juan Maore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Tanio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Konurbano Atletico had played much better football throughout.
