La Git!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Nafiz Dervişoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Fernando Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Bilge Kınay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Bilge Kınay made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Lukáš Modrić sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Independente FC booed when La Git! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadim Saltuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Bilge Kınay was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Lukáš Modrić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lukáš Modrić really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 46 played minutes La Git! got a freekick which was hit by Sagi Bek. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lukáš Modrić was the one to do the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, Independente FC's Rubinho Severo tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the La Git! defense, Lukáš Modrić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arif Bilge Kınay. The La Git! fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arif Bilge Kınay should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Eulalio Xabier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. Independente FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Xabier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Eulalio Xabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Marcelo Gröhe made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's You Yuan got a free kick in the 90th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
