An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Jităreanu in the 26th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Ismael Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Ian de Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Grigore Săndoi to make any attempt to save it. Grigore Săndoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Bertassi in the 30th minute of play. Ian de Godoi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Romeo Mircescu charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Mircescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian de Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Falcão in the 75th minute of play forced ⚡FC Muntenia09⚡'s goalkeeper Grigore Săndoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ⚡FC Muntenia09⚡ booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ⚡FC Muntenia09⚡ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
