After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Aquilino Zarco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Zarco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Barbosa during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Haridades F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Barbosa. Conrado de Carvalho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Bebeto Cardoso was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Aquilino Zarco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aquilino Zarco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 19 played minutes Haridades F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Teles. 20 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Moutinho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Haridades F.C's Bebeto Cardoso. Bebeto Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, Giovanni Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Ronaldinho Xavier in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Minho FC's Alípio Gaspar. Aquilino Zarco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Bebeto Cardoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Minho FC's Maurício Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Corrêa in the 37th minute of play. Bebeto Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordão Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Minho FC were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Haridades F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reinaldo Moutinho took the corner. Bebeto Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Aquilino Zarco sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanni Corrêa to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Haridades F.C defense, Aquilino Zarco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebeto Cardoso. The Haridades F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto Cardoso should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Minho FC's Aquilino Zarco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After some careless play in the Haridades F.C defense, Aquilino Zarco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebeto Cardoso. The Haridades F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebeto Cardoso should have stopped the shot. Jordão Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. When Conrado de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haridades F.C's protests and gave Conrado de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. Conrado de Carvalho hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Aquilino Zarco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Cardoso was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
