Esquadrão Lusitano's Jairo Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esquadrão Lusitano's Bernardo Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Esquadrão Lusitano from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Kon came free, but Bernardo Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esquadrão Lusitano's Bernardo Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Łukasz Surma in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
