The supporters of --Sibenik-- booed when River de Ramos Mejía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Ibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Antun Bunić managed to get in a good position for a shot. --Sibenik--'s supporters rose to their feet, but Antun Bunić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Daunte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casimiro Millrick charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casimiro Millrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes River de Ramos Mejía got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Millrick. Borislav Tvrdić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. --Sibenik--'s Alen Kovič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Rosio in the 19th minute of play. Gualterio Daunte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borislav Tvrdić in the 20th minute of play. Casimiro Millrick was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Borislav Tvrdić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualterio Daunte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Branko Furmek made a great header on --Sibenik--'s corner, it was just that River de Ramos Mejía's Gualterio Daunte managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute, Basilio Ibar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Costante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meliton Kovič during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes --Sibenik-- got a freekick which was hit by Meliton Kovič. After 40 minutes of play, --Sibenik--'s Antun Bunić made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualterio Daunte was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gualterio Daunte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borislav Tvrdić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Antun Bunić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Daunte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, --Sibenik--'s Borislav Tvrdić made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualterio Daunte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gualterio Daunte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antun Bunić in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Gradimir Venturin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Daunte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Ibar scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alen Kovič, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Meliton Kovič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the River de Ramos Mejía defense, Borislav Tvrdić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualterio Daunte. The River de Ramos Mejía fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualterio Daunte should have stopped the shot. Antun Bunić scored 5-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gualterio Daunte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucio Guib hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in River de Ramos Mejía's zone, Meliton Kovič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Daunte came out of the goal and Meliton Kovič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the River de Ramos Mejía players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for --Sibenik--.
