In the 32nd match minute, Real Murçia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Gualtieri to maneuver through the defense. Ren Ting Jian took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Franceschi. Alfredo Franceschi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Alfredo Franceschi stood somewhat misplaced when Constantino Admon came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ren Ting Jian in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Franceschi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Ting Jian in the 44th minute of play forced Real Murçia FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Franceschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermanno Bearzot to make the kick off. The Arquímedes fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Arquímedes's Ren Ting Jian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Constantino Admon took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Franceschi. Alfredo Franceschi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. When Arquímedes's Ren Ting Jian in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Franceschi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Real Murçia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ren Ting Jian came free, but Alfredo Franceschi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Ren Ting Jian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Franceschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Ren Ting Jian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arquímedes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Constantino Admon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Franceschi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Ting Jian in the 92nd minute of play forced Real Murçia FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Franceschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Arquímedes's Hernan Xabat getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 99th minute, Constantino Admon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Franceschi was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Arquímedes fully deserved thier win.
