In the 13th minute, Iwan Marciewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER Sosnowiec fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, União Verde FC's Adalberto Albuquerque got a free kick in the 18th minute. Waclaw Komanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Taffarel having to interfere. Francisco Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Komanski in the 21st minute of the match. Iwan Marciewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Francisco Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Taffarel didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when INTER Sosnowiec's Waclaw Komanski shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 29th minute Ksawery Jarocewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waclaw Komanski ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35th minute, Maksymilian Orlicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cauã Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Waclaw Komanski put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Taffarel. In the 42nd minute Iwan Marciewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waclaw Komanski in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When INTER Sosnowiec's Waclaw Komanski in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye União Verde FC's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half INTER Sosnowiec were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Loyola to make the kick off. Waclaw Komanski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Taffarel having to make a save. Francisco Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waclaw Komanski in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Ksawery Jarocewicz took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Francisco Taffarel to make any attempt to save it. Francisco Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Komanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute Tanek Prokowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Wejta in the 81st minute of play forced União Verde FC's goalkeeper Francisco Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INTER Sosnowiec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
