The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Callus got free with Mariusz Szostak in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariusz Szostak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Debono in the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Bernard Degabriele dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mariusz Szostak, 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juliusz Ruzicki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Bernard Degabriele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Szostak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Callus scored 6-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mariusz Szostak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Meerkats FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Bernard Degabriele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Astral Roots Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Rapinett came free, but Mariusz Szostak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
