Marian Banas scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 龙笑霖, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 龙笑霖 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf-Inge Låstad in the 17th minute of play. Marian Banas's late challenge caught a Durazno FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Banas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Durazno FC booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Banas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Banas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 龙笑霖 having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Banas came free, but 龙笑霖 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 龙笑霖 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf-Inge Låstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 龙笑霖 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Banas in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marian Banas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 龙笑霖 was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Banas in the 38th minute of play forced Durazno FC's goalkeeper 龙笑霖 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Banas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Durazno FC's Hugo Francis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hugo Francis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Durazno FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hugo Francis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Durazno FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of The Nerd Herd:s goal. Alf-Inge Låstad shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Durazno FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Marian Banas scored to the left of an out of position 龙笑霖, making the score, 0-4. After 67 minutes of play, The Nerd Herd's Marian Banas made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 龙笑霖 was left in no man's land by his defense there! 龙笑霖 made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Marian Banas sent off a good shot on target. If Marian Banas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Durazno FC's 龙笑霖 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Durazno FC from getting a goal against them. Marian Banas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute Marian Banas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 龙笑霖 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 龙笑霖 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Banas in the 78th minute of play. If Marian Banas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Durazno FC's 龙笑霖 got control of the ball when Marian Banas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Marian Banas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 龙笑霖 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Marian Banas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 龙笑霖 having to make a save. 龙笑霖 was a little too slow when Marian Banas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-9. The supporters of The Nerd Herd booed when Durazno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marian Banas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Nerd Herd played a much better game than Durazno FC and deserved their victory. The Durazno FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
