Sebastean Battaglia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Lara having to interfere. With a little luck, As de Ouro's Samuca Lara got control of the ball when Alejandro Gaspard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Alejandro Gaspard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but As de Ouro's Samuca Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th match minute, Quimeras Jrs. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. Nando Rodrigues scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elias Jordy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Seme during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Francisco Seme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Quimeras Jrs.'s Rogelio Kismi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rogelio Kismi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Quimeras Jrs. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rogelio Kismi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Quimeras Jrs.'s Rogelio Kismi got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Nestor Koehler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias Jordy skillfully saved the ball. Sebastean Battaglia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastean Battaglia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elias Jordy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Motta in the 42nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Quimeras Jrs. defense, João Carlos Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Jordy. The Quimeras Jrs. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Jordy should have stopped the shot. If Sebastean Battaglia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Amadeu Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the As de Ouro and the Quimeras Jrs. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Quimeras Jrs. booed when As de Ouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Samuca Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes in the game Ademar Magalhães did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Amadeu Carvalho. Quimeras Jrs.'s Elias Jordy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Motta in the 69th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Quimeras Jrs. got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Gaspard. Ademar Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademar Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes As de Ouro got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Magalhães. Francisco Seme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Samuca Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Jordy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Sebastean Battaglia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quimeras Jrs.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastean Battaglia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quimeras Jrs. were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after As de Ouro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastean Battaglia took the corner. Quimeras Jrs.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastean Battaglia in the 97th minute.
