The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Fajteri players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ožbej Musar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneel Van Mechelen's late challenge caught a Fajteri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corneel Van Mechelen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fajteri booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneel Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Van Houdtvinck to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurice Van Mechelen during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
