Ninjas in Pyjamas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Freddy de Cijser scored to the left of an out of position Gelu Bornescu, making the score, 1-1. Gelu Bornescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy de Cijser, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Luka De Roeck came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gelu Bornescu could save by the left post. After 17 minutes Ninjas in Pyjamas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luka De Roeck who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Freddy de Cijser heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 19th minute, Manuel Zaharia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Freddy de Cijser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gelu Bornescu was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. A collision led to Brakkies New Bastards getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cederic Borginions hit a great ball. Luka De Roeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Bornescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After 29 minutes, Luka De Roeck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brakkies New Bastards and the Ninjas in Pyjamas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Brakkies New Bastards was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka De Roeck to maneuver through the defense. Brakkies New Bastards's Teo Dechamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florin Griguță in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenn Fossaert during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenn Fossaert kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iosif Mihele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Florin Griguță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iosif Mihele's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teo Dechamps firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Brakkies New Bastards's Teo Dechamps got control of the ball when Robert Onofrei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brakkies New Bastards's Teo Dechamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Onofrei in the 81st minute of play. When Brakkies New Bastards's Freddy de Cijser in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalie prevented a goal. Ionuț Măcriș hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Robert Onofrei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Dechamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ninjas in Pyjamas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
