The supporters of Formentera booed when Heineken Youths was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Heikens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Paulo Enmanuel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Bastiaan Carel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Paulo Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bastiaan Carel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Enmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Heineken Youths's Bastiaan Carel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Enmanuel in the 23rd minute of play. Paulo Enmanuel scored 0-4 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bastiaan Carel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Steve Heikens got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Lucas de Zee got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Enmanuel in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bastiaan Carel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nico-Jan Pruischer's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nico-Jan Pruischer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Heineken Youths's Nico-Jan Pruischer got a free kick in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Monte in the 39th minute of play forced Heineken Youths's goalkeeper Bastiaan Carel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Gerrit Hanekamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Formentera made a substitution. Blas Estevez replaced Fabio Monte. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boukjan van Dongen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bastiaan Carel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Enmanuel's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Bastiaan Carel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's Paulo Enmanuel. But to his dismay, Paulo Enmanuel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Paulo Enmanuel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastiaan Carel having to make a save. After having played for 65 minutes, Paulo Enmanuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formentera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Enmanuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Paulo Enmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bastiaan Carel was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Blas Estevez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bastiaan Carel, 0-7. Paulo Enmanuel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bastiaan Carel having to make a save. After some careless play in the Heineken Youths defense, Paulo Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bastiaan Carel. The Heineken Youths fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bastiaan Carel should have stopped the shot. Paulo Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute Paulo Enmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan Carel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Paulo Enmanuel took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Bastiaan Carel to make any attempt to save it. Bastiaan Carel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Formentera played a much better game than Heineken Youths and deserved their victory. The Heineken Youths players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
