Ema City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fryderyk Golaszewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ema City's Wladyslaw Rzentkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Kušnír in the 8th minute of play. If Bohuslav Sabina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beniamin Paraszczuk hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Wladyslaw Rzentkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Kušnír in the 18th minute of play. Bohuslav Sabina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Wladyslaw Rzentkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Olaf Majkowski made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. UFC Pivnica's Pavol Kresák tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wladyslaw Rzentkowski came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Pivnica's Dušan Paštrnák. But to his dismay, Dušan Paštrnák quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Pavol Kresák made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Majkowski in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Antón Kočiš got free with Wladyslaw Rzentkowski in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olaf Majkowski in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavol Kresák saved UFC Pivnica from getting behind. Daniel Kušnír sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ema City reached it. Fryderyk Gamza took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavol Kresák. Pavol Kresák dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Antón Kočiš's late challenge caught a Ema City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antón Kočiš helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ema City booed when UFC Pivnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antón Kočiš didn't get a good kick on the ball. UFC Pivnica's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ema City had won, even though UFC Pivnica had held more of the ball.
