Alex Kretz started the match with the kick off. FC Urzicuța's attack was well implemented in the 5th minute, but when Sabin Hreapcă was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Avram Avarvarei hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Sabin Hreapcă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Abt was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 15th play minutes Sabin Hreapcă shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ralph Abt and just under the crossbar into goal. Gilles Enzel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marcel Chiriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Hreapcă in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralph Abt saved Hemmersbacher SV from getting behind. David Adomniței sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Alex Kretz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Olaf Teufer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Warren Hunn got free with Marcel Chiriță in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Hemmersbacher SV getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gilles Enzel hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Urzicuța booed when Hemmersbacher SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warren Hunn didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sabin Hreapcă in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralph Abt saved Hemmersbacher SV from getting behind. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sabin Hreapcă sped through Hemmersbacher SV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralph Abt. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sabin Hreapcă made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Hunn in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Urzicuța's goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Olaf Teufer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel Chiriță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Hunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Alex Kretz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 68 minutes on the clock, Vlad Lera commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 67th minute, one of FC Urzicuța:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Urzicuța. FC Urzicuța's Marcel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Hunn in the 72nd minute of play. Marcel Chiriță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Junker in the 73rd minute of the match. Manole Dascălu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralph Abt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Manole Dascălu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Ralph Abt 81 minutes into the match. Tudor Bratoloveanu struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ralph Abt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Urzicuța. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Urzicuța eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
