El Pinar's Aztore Sarantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyknos Tsogas in the 7th minute of play. Hermengildo Valdenebro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Spiros Katramados came free, but Aztore Sarantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pau Agosto scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Plouton Karameros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aztore Sarantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iolaos Tyrovolas in the 18th minute of play. Aztore Sarantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spiros Katramados in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Hermengildo Valdenebro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Lazaeta in the 23rd minute of play forced Aek athens's goalkeeper Plouton Karameros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aztore Sarantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyknos Tsogas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of El Pinar booed when Aek athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Plouton Christodoulou didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Pinar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
