Basarab Marincean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigore Jula in the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the game Vali Voicescu made a throw-in which Emil Banciu played forward. 17 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Jula came free, but Basarab Marincean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Rova Rosiori were awarded a corner. Flavius Grec went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Kuzman Kukushev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Basarab Marincean quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 25 minutes into the match, Grigore Jula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basarab Marincean. Buffalo Timişoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grigore Jula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 28th minute Grigore Jula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Marincean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albert Turdeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Paul Dumitru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Franky Ooms managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buffalo Timişoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Franky Ooms was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Dumitru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Grigore Jula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Marincean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Rova Rosiori were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Beltran to strike the kick off in the second half. Kuzman Kukushev kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when Rova Rosiori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Rova Rosiori's Basarab Marincean threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Grigore Jula, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Maxim Pintilie charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Buffalo Timişoara's Emil Banciu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. The corner was taken by Narcis Ichim in the 67th minute. It was a well-played corner which Franky Ooms managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Buffalo Timişoara's Basarab Marincean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Buffalo Timişoara from getting a goal against them. The Rova Rosiori players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
