Davi Coutinho's late challenge caught a Galatasaray SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davi Coutinho helped the player get up and apologised. André Silva in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanislav Kaiturov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 17th minute André Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Kaiturov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Kazachenkov hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Konstantin Shehter kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Célio Leite received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Célio Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Stanislav Kaiturov made a huge save. Stanislav Kaiturov made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Célio Leite sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Gino Varela hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Stanislav Kaiturov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Leite. Stanislav Kaiturov made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Célio Leite sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fedor Ledohovich was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray SK's zone, Célio Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislav Kaiturov came out of the goal and Célio Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Silva took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanislav Kaiturov. Stanislav Kaiturov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Stanislav Kaiturov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Silva in the 61st minute of play. Galatasaray SK's Stanislav Kaiturov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Leite in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu da Silveira.
