Claes Biörling ran back to his position shaking his head. Henk van der Werff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claes Biörling in the 10th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Dominique Saudemont fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noisiel's protests and gave Dominique Saudemont a yellow card for diving instead. Dominykas Liutkus's late challenge caught a Noisiel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dominykas Liutkus helped the player get up and apologised. The Noisiel fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Noisiel's Mustapha Debray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
