Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Colon Lasso took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colon Lasso in the 4th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Iacob Biriș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvatore Schillaci in the 5th minute of play forced Fútbol Club Insaar's goalkeeper Rubio Zalaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guo Zhou Feng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Biriș having to interfere. Laurențiu Hidișan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Dorel Pipirig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubio Zalaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Istrate. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fútbol Club Insaar's goalkeeper Rubio Zalaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubio Zalaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Pipirig in the 27th minute of the match. Iacob Biriș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Herces in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Fútbol Club Insaar's Colon Lasso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Biriș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colon Lasso hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Iacob Biriș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Herces, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fútbol Club Insaar's Rubio Zalaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvatore Schillaci in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Salvatore Schillaci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpathians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fútbol Club Insaar the free kick. 65 minutes into the match, Carpathians's Dorel Pipirig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubio Zalaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carpathians's Ursus Martin was substituted for Dorinel Munteanu. The corner led Carpathians's Emilian Greblă to fire away a dangerous shot which Rubio Zalaya despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dorel Pipirig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fútbol Club Insaar's zone, Dorel Pipirig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubio Zalaya came out of the goal and Dorel Pipirig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iacob Biriș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colon Lasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Carpathians's Iacob Biriș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Zhou Feng in the 79th minute of play. When Dorel Pipirig came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Pipirig couldn't finish the play. Carpathians's Anton Beton was substituted for Horaţiu Encuțescu. Iacob Biriș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guo Zhou Feng in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Fútbol Club Insaar's Rubio Zalaya got control of the ball when Salvatore Schillaci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dorel Pipirig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carpathians succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Fútbol Club Insaar had controlled the match.
