After 28 played minutes, Mochila FC's Oséias Dionísio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Fagundes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mochila FC reached it. Renato Vargas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Lima Team defense, Gilmar Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Fagundes. The Lima Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Fagundes should have stopped the shot. Sebastião Varanda charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião Varanda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The wind increased when Gusmão Candeias made the kick off in the second half. Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Candeias in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Gois during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Gois. 61 minutes into the match, Lima Team's goalkeeper Paulo Fagundes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jardel Matos. Jardel Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Mochila FC's Erling Halland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Fagundes. That made the score 1-6 after 91 minutes of play. In the 95th minute Gusmão Candeias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Mochila FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lima Team throughout the match.
