When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calum Frost made a kick off. When Noel Castanheira came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Terceirense F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Castanheira couldn't finish the play. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Conan Shields played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Castanheira in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Terceirense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham Comets F.C.'s zone, Noel Castanheira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conan Shields came out of the goal and Noel Castanheira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conan Shields took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Castanheira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fitz Hubbard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Cássio Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clapham Comets F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
