After some careless play in the Sipo EC defense, Fabiano Andreoli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carroll Hathaway. The Sipo EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carroll Hathaway should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Luizão Loureiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Carroll Hathaway was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Carroll Hathaway successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 16th minute Luizão Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carroll Hathaway made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Guilherme Rauh sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th match minute, Torino SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Duarte to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizão Loureiro in the 26th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Armando Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Loureiro in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilherme Rauh got free with Carroll Hathaway in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 45 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Costa. Fabiano Andreoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Carroll Hathaway made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Reis made a kick off. In the 54th minute Flávio Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sipo EC were furious when Dráusio Costa was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 55th minute, one of Sipo EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sipo EC. The referee gave Torino SSA a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guilherme Rauh, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway. 3-0. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Loureiro in the 59th minute of play. Carroll Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sipo EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Carroll Hathaway had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Guilherme Rauh's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Torino SSA's Guilherme Rauh made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carroll Hathaway was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carroll Hathaway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Lindberg in the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Luizão Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carroll Hathaway was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Igor Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sipo EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Fabiano Andreoli fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torino SSA's protests and gave Fabiano Andreoli a yellow card for diving instead. Fabiano Andreoli kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Herbert Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torino SSA's Roger Galvan was substituted for Elias Saldanha. Torino SSA's Benjamin Dias was substituted for Osvaldo Linhares. Torino SSA's Beto Neves was substituted for Herbert Lindberg. Sipo EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Carroll Hathaway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Rauh in the 97th minute of play. Guilherme Rauh scored 8-0 in the 100th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carroll Hathaway, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
