Maurício Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. MEXACOMX's Anselmo Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro de Medeiros in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Ernesto Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro de Medeiros in the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Maurício Meireles made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s José Vítor da Mata tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute of the match, Lourenço Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Vítor da Mata saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s zone, Carlos Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor da Mata came out of the goal and Carlos Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandrino Junqueira struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. José Vítor da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MEXACOMX. Anselmo Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes in the game, Witold Gotfryd fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Anselmo Mota having to interfere. A collision led to MEXACOMX getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Carlos Leite hit a great ball. Anselmo Mota made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Witold Gotfryd sent off a good shot on target. Anselmo Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dedé de Toledo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdomiro Seco in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Mota saved MEXACOMX from getting behind. ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Witold Gotfryd in the 68th minute. The corner led ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Witold Gotfryd to fire away a dangerous shot which Anselmo Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 68 minutes of play, ♣¥ OS IMPOSSIVEIS ¥♣'s Jerônimo Carvalho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there!
