An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Costante in the 6th minute of play forced Atlético Guidovalense's goalkeeper Zé Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Godfredo Costante got free in front of the goal in the 6th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Zé Veloso was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tomas Licerio kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Godfredo Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Zé Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Bebeto Andrade struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gordon Banks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Guidovalense. A collision led to Atlético Guidovalense getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Dráuzio Leite hit a great ball. Godfredo Costante scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Atlético Guidovalense's Olívio Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Candido Estevon charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Estevon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Godfredo Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Atlético Guidovalense booed when HFA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Veloso having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, HFA FC's Marcelo Gutxi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Veloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olívio Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. HFA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Eder in the 52nd minute. Joel Eder made a great header on HFA FC's corner, it was just that Atlético Guidovalense's Zé Veloso managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Guidovalense's zone, Alejo Cesario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Veloso came out of the goal and Alejo Cesario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético Guidovalense's goalkeeper Zé Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Costante. In the 63rd minute, Godfredo Costante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zé Veloso. The goal made the score 0-3. Alejo Cesario hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Gordon Banks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Vander in the 81st minute of play. Zé Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Cesario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Godfredo Costante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The HFA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Candido Estevon got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 92nd minute, Candido Estevon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to HFA FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tomas Licerio hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HFA FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
