Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teodosio Stanislao kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes in the game, Marcelo Zalayeta fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Augusto Mercurio having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Teodosio Stanislao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concepcion del Uruguay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEÑAROL PIPERO the free kick. The supporters of PEÑAROL PIPERO booed when Concepcion del Uruguay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Stanislao didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Chepe in the 9th minute of play forced PEÑAROL PIPERO's goalkeeper Randall Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Marcelo Zalayeta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PEÑAROL PIPERO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Concepcion del Uruguay FC the free kick. In the 16th minute, Marcelo Zalayeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Zalayeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Augusto Mercurio made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Basilio Pirmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Zalayeta in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Mercurio saved Concepcion del Uruguay FC from getting behind. Augusto Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Zalayeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Randall Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Stanislao in the 24th minute of play. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Marcelo Zalayeta was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Augusto Mercurio came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by PEÑAROL PIPERO's Marcelo Zalayeta. But to his dismay, Marcelo Zalayeta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 41 minutes into the game, Marcelo Zalayeta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Augusto Mercurio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Alberto Aguilera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Carlos Alberto Aguilera struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Augusto Mercurio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEÑAROL PIPERO. In the 60th minute, Lolo Estoyanoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Concepcion del Uruguay FC's Gregorio Chepe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Randall Rodríguez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. PEÑAROL PIPERO's Oscar Macho was substituted for Carlos Alberto Aguilera. 67 minutes into the game, PEÑAROL PIPERO's Oscar Macho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Augusto Mercurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Zalayeta in the 70th minute of the match. When Lolo Estoyanoff fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PEÑAROL PIPERO's protests and gave Lolo Estoyanoff a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PEÑAROL PIPERO getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lolo Estoyanoff hit a great ball. Randall Rodríguez came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Concepcion del Uruguay FC's Teodosio Stanislao. But to his dismay, Teodosio Stanislao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Concepcion del Uruguay FC's Augusto Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Macho in the 86th minute of play. Randall Rodríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes PEÑAROL PIPERO got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Matosas. Silvio Galoer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Randall Rodríguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PEÑAROL PIPERO had won after a very even match.
