Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godofredo Pirazzoli to make the kick off. Remigio Jungejohan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Teofil Sikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacek Chowaniec in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Camara saved Magallanes from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Cyryl Hodas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Camara. Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cyryl Hodas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Magallanes's Jonatán Garland was substituted for Luis Aravena.
