The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sabino Belo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Galaxy Union FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Belo couldn't finish the play. Galaxy Union FC's Atanasije Martać played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitoldas Kuliešius in the 11th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Azeredo came free, but Vytaras Liaudanskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galaxy Union FC's Atanasije Martać proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Galaxy Union FC from getting a goal against them. Vytaras Liaudanskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Teles in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Adomas Vilčinskas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atanasije Martać saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st minute, Augustinas Ginaitis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Paulino Azeredo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vytaras Liaudanskas was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adomas Vilčinskas in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atanasije Martać saved Galaxy Union FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Savage Hippo's Augustinas Ginaitis got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Quintino Quintela sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Savage Hippo's Vytaras Liaudanskas didn't even have to move. A collision led to Savage Hippo getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Vitoldas Kuliešius hit a great ball. Vytaras Liaudanskas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Azeredo went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Galaxy Union FC's Atanasije Martać played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adomas Vilčinskas in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Azeredo made a kick off. Atanasije Martać took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adomas Vilčinskas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 54 minutes, Adomas Vilčinskas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savage Hippo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adomas Vilčinskas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Normando Almeida dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vytaras Liaudanskas, 1-2. Vytaras Liaudanskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Normando Almeida in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Valdas Poškevičius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
