The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 8 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Christian Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Rudolfo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Christian Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Christian Proença fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imbituba - FSCMZ's protests and gave Christian Proença a yellow card for diving instead. Imbituba - FSCMZ played a much better game than Pancha Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The Pancha Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
