If Juliane Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Carulla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes in the game Ovidio Iaki did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Isidro Celio. 25 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's goal looked a bit too open when Ale Garna came free, but Antonio Sorriva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Sorriva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliane Alvarez in the 27th minute of the match. Sociedad Anónima's Antonio Sorriva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ale Garna in the 32nd minute of play. In the 40th minute, Fonda Enterria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergios Ramos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Juliane Alvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fecha Libre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Antonio Sorriva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Otsoa in the 46th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Edelmiro Carulla could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Sergio Romero however easily saved by the left post. In the 49th minute Sociedad Anónima were awarded a corner. Edelmiro Carulla went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Stefan Kjellqvist managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After the first half Fecha Libre were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juliane Alvarez to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Otsoa in the 58th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Antonio Sorriva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fecha Libre's Cirilo Porfirio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Antonio Sorriva but with some difficulty. In the 66th minute, Santiago García hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fonda Enterria was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. Fonda Enterria kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Sociedad Anónima made a substitution. Berriotxoa Asteguieta replaced Marino Malet. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Fonda Enterria got a free kick in the 69th minute. The supporters of Fecha Libre booed when Sociedad Anónima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago García didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Cirilo Porfirio in the 74th minute really tested Antonio Sorriva's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 75th minute of the match, Isidro Celio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Sorriva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 76 played minutes Sociedad Anónima got a freekick which was hit by Santiago García. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Carulla in the 83rd minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Sergio Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Sorriva was a little too slow when Isidro Celio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. Oriche Campillo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 99th minute, Fecha Libre's Juliane Alvarez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonio Sorriva. Antonio Sorriva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fecha Libre walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
