Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vedillo Munguia in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteve Maraman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aquilino Ignado hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, United's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Barquin came free, but Esteve Maraman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquilino Ignado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 26th playminute. After 29 played minutes Union Y Progreso F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ataulfo Diosdado. A hard shot 31 in the game by Aquilino Ignado from a close distance when the talented Bran Fernandez managed to make a qualified save. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s players were relieved. After a rather tough play, United's Maximo Santio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Union Y Progreso F.C. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Aguirre Grandoso hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Vedillo Munguia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vedillo Munguia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Maraman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Santio's late challenge caught a Union Y Progreso F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximo Santio helped the player get up and apologised. Esteve Maraman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Barquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Union Y Progreso F.C. were winning 1-2.

Elvio Orlondon hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Ignacio Barquin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Esteve Maraman. Esteve Maraman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Vedillo Munguia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Esteve Maraman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Barquin in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Ignacio Barquin notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of United's Esteve Maraman. Esteve Maraman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aquilino Ignado kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in United's zone, Aguirre Grandoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Maraman came out of the goal and Aguirre Grandoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Barquin might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Maraman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ignacio Barquin ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquilino Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Fernandez having to interfere. 82 minutes in the game, Vedillo Munguia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esteve Maraman having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Santio to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Maraman made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ignacio Barquin sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Barquin got free with Esteve Maraman in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Ataulfo Diosdado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteve Maraman. That made the score 1-5 after 91 minutes of play. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
