In the 4th match minute, Darkwing Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Hajsgaard to maneuver through the defense. Vilmer Aschendorff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vecdi Başesgioğlu in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute Andre Shakespeare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmer Aschendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bendt Grenbo in the 17th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Shakespeare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Vilmer Aschendorff made a huge save. In the 23rd minute Vecdi Başesgioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmer Aschendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Asgar Glensholm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darkwing Ducks and the Greenbay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vilmer Aschendorff was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tyler Morton. Eugen Remus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Hare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mesut Özil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Vilmer Aschendorff made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Darkwing Ducks's Hjalmar Hajsgaard got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Kresten Cosmus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mesut Özil got free with Vilmer Aschendorff in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andre Shakespeare to make the kick off. Matias Hennings hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the game, Mesut Özil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vilmer Aschendorff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, Mesut Özil notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Darkwing Ducks's Vilmer Aschendorff. Vilmer Aschendorff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Greenbay's Vecdi Başesgioğlu got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Andre Shakespeare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilmer Aschendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andre Shakespeare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilmer Aschendorff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyler Morton, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Vilmer Aschendorff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Shakespeare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Will Alderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmer Aschendorff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Shakespeare in the 75th minute of play forced Darkwing Ducks's goalkeeper Vilmer Aschendorff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vecdi Başesgioğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Greenbay booed when Darkwing Ducks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Hajsgaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Darkwing Ducks's zone, Andre Shakespeare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilmer Aschendorff came out of the goal and Andre Shakespeare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
