In the 8th minute Ovidio Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ovidio Pello fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyon 69ers's protests and gave Ovidio Pello a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Pello. Marc Meister scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Bero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovidio Pello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hercule Couret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Pereyra in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Meister in the 28th minute of play forced C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Jaime Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hercule Couret didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Bertin went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marc Meister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jaime Bero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Pello in the 36th minute of play forced C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Jaime Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Ovidio Pello took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jaime Bero to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st match minute, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Bertin to maneuver through the defense. Aloísio Lendaa had several of the C.S. y D. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Bertin to strike the kick off in the second half. When Higinio Pereyra came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Pereyra couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Ovidio Pello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Bero. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ovidio Pello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 60th minute Ovidio Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Pello came free, but Jaime Bero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hercule Couret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Ovidio Pello notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Jaime Bero. Jaime Bero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pierre-Loup Robin hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Hercule Couret had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Bertin. Ovidio Pello took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Bero. Jaime Bero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Bertin got free with Hercule Couret in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Bero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Pello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Raitin. In the 96th minute, Ovidio Pello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lyon 69ers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lyon 69ers fully deserved thier win.
