The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Nacional Potosí's Guillen Aballe got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Potosí's zone, Toni Polster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valery Abecia came out of the goal and Toni Polster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bada Bing Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Odol Abancens was slow to take the kick. During this time Nacional Potosí's players had a chance to rest. Nacional Potosí's Valery Abecia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Francescoli in the 12th minute of play. When Odol Abancens came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Nacional Potosí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odol Abancens couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Bada Bing Club defense, Criston Abendano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cleto Lastras. The Bada Bing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cleto Lastras should have stopped the shot. When Odol Abancens came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Nacional Potosí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odol Abancens couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odol Abancens in the 22nd minute of play forced Bada Bing Club's goalkeeper Cleto Lastras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Criston Abendano scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cleto Lastras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Enzo Francescoli made a precise shot to the right of Valery Abecia. Nacional Potosí's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Cleto Lastras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odol Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Nacional Potosí were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odol Abancens was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Criston Abendano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Cleto Lastras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th match minute, Nacional Potosí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boniel Abecia to maneuver through the defense. Bada Bing Club's Federico Fernandez was substituted for Manuel Quintero. But to his dismay, Marcelito Abadie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-7. After a defensive mix-up in Bada Bing Club's zone, Guillen Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Lastras came out of the goal and Guillen Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federico Fernandez charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Fernandez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bada Bing Club's Federico Fernandez got a free kick in the 87th minute. Cresitobalo Abarca hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Valery Abecia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Polster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bada Bing Club were furious when Velasco Cazorla was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bada Bing Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for Nacional Potosí. Odol Abancens stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cleto Lastras. 3-8.
