After 36 minutes Pil SK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Merlin Abisheganaden who took care of the corner kick. Albirex Niigata FC's Merlin Abisheganaden was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orvar Skarkman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hamir Keng scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orvar Skarkman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Hamir Keng took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orvar Skarkman. Orvar Skarkman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
