The player immediately received a yellow card. Orvar Skarkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Gorosti, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when 邵鹏林 got free with Orvar Skarkman in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pil SK's Konrad Bure got his second yellow card of the match in the 21st minute. The referee ordered Konrad Bure off the ground. Konrad Bure hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Estudiantes de la Plata's 邵鹏林 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Dalgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orvar Skarkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacobo Nayely's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Orvar Skarkman came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de la Plata's 邵鹏林. But to his dismay, 邵鹏林 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of Pil SK booed when Estudiantes de la Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Gorosti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Bartuelo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alvar Kihlberg. Bertil Hydén kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Tobias Bladi in the 64th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Orvar Skarkman's left hand side. 70 minutes into the game, Carl Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pil SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de la Plata the free kick. Carl Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute 邵鹏林 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orvar Skarkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Gorosti in the 73rd minute of play forced Pil SK's goalkeeper Orvar Skarkman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pelle Wallin fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With an all-out effort, Pil SK's Victorino Bartuelo threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simon Dalgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Estudiantes de la Plata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
