Ramiro Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paschalis Stavrakos in the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Xanda FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Umberto Martins hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Olympiacos FC's Xosé Lim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiro Pires. Ramiro Pires yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 20th minute of the match, Paschalis Stavrakos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ramiro Pires saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Panos Ntountas came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Ntountas couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Ntountas. Alexis Kotsanakis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramiro Pires firmly grabbed it by the left post. Panos Ntountas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Ramiro Pires skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Panos Ntountas fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympiacos FC's protests and gave Panos Ntountas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Panos Ntountas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ramiro Pires. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 37th minute, Panos Ntountas made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Pires. Xanda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Xanda FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Panos Ntountas 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-0. The supporters of Xanda FC booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paschalis Stavrakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válter Peixoto to make the kick off. The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when Xanda FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themos Vranas in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Pires saved Xanda FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Xanda FC defense, Themos Vranas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Pires. The Xanda FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Pires should have stopped the shot. Ramiro Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Kotsanakis in the 86th minute of play. Konstantinos Meletiou took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Pires. Ramiro Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Ramiro Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Kotsanakis in the 93rd minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Diogo da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xanda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympiacos FC the free kick. Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Anastasios Perakis replaced Paschalis Stavrakos. After a rather tough play, Xanda FC's Diogo da Rocha got a free kick in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Olympiacos FC were the better team. Olympiacos FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
