In the 12th minute of the match, Umea Caubilla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ştefan Vârlan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Purcaresti CSS's Ştefan Vârlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Purcaresti CSS from getting a goal against them. When Pompiliu Chiper fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purcaresti CSS's protests and gave Pompiliu Chiper a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Chiper. Atletico de la Rosa CF's Umea Caubilla got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Chiper threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atletico de la Rosa CF's Eugênio Goiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico de la Rosa CF's Umea Caubilla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ştefan Vârlan. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. Atletico de la Rosa CF's Umea Caubilla got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umea Caubilla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ştefan Vârlan came out and tried to block the shot, but Umea Caubilla slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. Umea Caubilla struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danny-Rafael De La Rosa-Choca to make the kick off. Umea Caubilla ran back to his position shaking his head. Atletico de la Rosa CF's Alejo de la Rosa was substituted for Sebastian Guardamino. If Umea Caubilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
