The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Phenomenals FC booed when VIEDMA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Erlantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmond Ihidjaten hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Abdelnasser Mezair didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinicio Liher went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Belmadi Belkheir lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Abdelnasser Mezair went to the wrong direction when Pablo Chan was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Ferrer in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdelnasser Mezair prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Alonso struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Abdelnasser Mezair didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VIEDMA FC. Abdelnasser Mezair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to VIEDMA FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Vinicio Liher hit a great ball. If Abdelaziz Zerara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelhamid Chebal's late challenge caught a VIEDMA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelhamid Chebal helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Phenomenals FC got a freekick which was hit by Abdelhamid Chebal. Abdelaziz Zerara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luigi Buffon having to interfere. A collision led to Phenomenals FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Virgil Van Dijck hit a great ball. Angelo Alonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelnasser Mezair having to interfere. Abdelaziz Zerara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Alonso scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdelnasser Mezair, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saul Mel hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Angelo Alonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelnasser Mezair having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Angelo Alonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdelnasser Mezair was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdelaziz Zerara made a kick off. Angelo Alonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdelnasser Mezair having to make a save. After 53 played minutes Phenomenals FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Van Dijck. VIEDMA FC's Pablo Chan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Phenomenals FC. In the 65th minute, Vinicio Liher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Phenomenals FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheb Aziz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in VIEDMA FC's zone, Steve McManaman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luigi Buffon came out of the goal and Steve McManaman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Ferrer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Vinicio Liher came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the VIEDMA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Liher couldn't finish the play. Abdelaziz Zerara struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Luigi Buffon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phenomenals FC. Luigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Van Dijck in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes VIEDMA FC got a freekick which was hit by Saul Mel. When Abdelaziz Zerara came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Phenomenals FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelaziz Zerara couldn't finish the play. If Vinicio Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VIEDMA FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
