Konstanty Radzyminski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Gama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstanty Radzyminski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hildeberto Sesimbra in the 13th minute. Academia Monte Gordo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vivaldo lago in the 15th minute. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Thunderstorm Riders's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 18th minute Academia Monte Gordo were awarded a corner. Vivaldo lago went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Lukowski in the 24th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Plachetka in the 28th minute of the match. Nuno Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Lukowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes of play, Thunderstorm Riders's Draš Tič made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Lukowski in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Jerzy Plachetka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakub Lukowski to make the kick off. Jakub Lukowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Thunderstorm Riders's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jakub Lukowski in the 52nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Borys Chazen heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thunderstorm Riders's goalkeeper Konstanty Radzyminski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hildeberto Sesimbra hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Couto in the 58th minute of play forced Thunderstorm Riders's goalkeeper Konstanty Radzyminski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Academia Monte Gordo's Nuno Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Jakub Lukowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academia Monte Gordo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Draš Tič scored to the left of an out of position Nuno Vasconcelos, making the score, 0-3. Thunderstorm Riders made a substitution. Edmund Konieczny replaced Borys Chazen. In the 65th minute, Rui Gama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Konieczny in the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Lukowski came free, but Nuno Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Draš Tič in the 73rd minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Thunderstorm Riders's Draš Tič ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nuno Vasconcelos. Nuno Vasconcelos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Thunderstorm Riders made a substitution. Tobiasz Bejger replaced Draš Tič. Tobiasz Bejger scored 0-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Tobiasz Bejger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Vasconcelos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 88 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Tobiasz Bejger came free, but Nuno Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Vasconcelos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmund Konieczny went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Nuno Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerzy Plachetka. Nuno Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakub Lukowski's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Academia Monte Gordo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Thunderstorm Riders were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
