The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Macedonio Torres came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Almazarrón's Lisandro Lastras. But to his dismay, Lisandro Lastras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Lastras during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Lisandro Lastras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Macedonio Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lisandro Lastras went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Tonete Verdeja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Txema Alonso hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Raimundo Sanz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donato Matorin. Almazarrón's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th match minute, F.C. Sant Sabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egoi Nunez to maneuver through the defense. Macedonio Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txema Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tonete Verdeja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Lastras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Andrés-Fernando Coya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Macedonio Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Lastras in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, F.C. Sant Sabo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etor Vazquez to maneuver through the defense. Almazarrón's Lisandro Lastras shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Macedonio Torres but with some difficulty. Almarín Leal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Almarín Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bitxintxo Balcells might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Matorin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bitxintxo Balcells ran back to his position shaking his head. Cordareo Manrique sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Lisandro Lastras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almazarrón's supporters rose to their feet, but Lisandro Lastras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Macedonio Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, F.C. Sant Sabo's Macedonio Torres got control of the ball when Cordareo Manrique tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bitxintxo Balcells hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Bitxintxo Balcells shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Matorin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 87 minutes of play, F.C. Sant Sabo's Gerardo Olle made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Matorin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donato Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Olle in the 93rd minute of the match. Almazarrón's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
