The referee ignored Brugge United's protests and gave Gertjan De Poorter a yellow card for diving instead. Herald Bruynincx scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermengildo Paulin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goal looked a bit too open when Herald Bruynincx came free, but Hermengildo Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Zacarias Gartzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brugge United the free kick. The supporters of Brugge United booed when CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel-Omar Bati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brugge United's Herald Bruynincx got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Binjamin Denturck to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Thommy Pelgrims got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Sebastian Oxel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Meys during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Christian Meys got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Thommy Pelgrims kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Herald Bruynincx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Paulin. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herald Bruynincx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Hermengildo Paulin came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Herald Bruynincx. But to his dismay, Herald Bruynincx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brugge United were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Oxel to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Niel Dedecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Cedric Van den Berge went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cedric Van den Berge almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Hermengildo Paulin did a great save. After 56 minutes of play, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's Sebastian Oxel made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arsene De Vlaeminck was left in no man's land by his defense there! 61 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper Hermengildo Paulin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niel Dedecker. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niel Dedecker in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Paulin saved CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 from getting behind. Herald Bruynincx's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Hermengildo Paulin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Brugge United's Herald Bruynincx in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalie prevented a goal. Arsene De Vlaeminck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Oxel in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Cederique Neels got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of Brugge United booed when CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cederique Neels hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Txanton in the 89th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Arsene De Vlaeminck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Paulin made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Herald Bruynincx sent off a good shot on target. Brugge United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
